After Canada, Japan has also announced the introduction of visas for freelancers in the digital world.

It will also be easier for IT professionals to bring spouse and children to Japan.
The Japanese government is introducing a special visa for ‘digital nomads’ from March 2024, which will allow IT engineers and other industry workers to easily come to Japan, Travel and Leisure Asia has said in a report.
Only people who have an annual income of more than $67,340 can apply for this visa.
Applicants for this visa do not need to be employed by a company. This is a good opportunity for self-employed and freelancers.
Under this program, citizens of countries with which the Japanese government has a tax treaty or visa-exempt status agreement will also be able to submit a visa application.
