A candidate belonging to Majlis Wahdat al-Muslimeen has won in the NA-37 constituency of Karam in the general elections.

According to Form 47 issued by the Election Commission, Hamid Khan was declared the winner after getting 58 thousand 650 votes. Sajid Hussain Turi of Pakistan People’s Party came second with 54 thousand 384 votes.
The success of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen may be significant in this context as it was one of the parties mentioned in PTI’s ‘Plan C’.
In January 2024, news reports claimed that PTI-backed independent candidates could join another party in the National Assembly, which would allow them to organize and win reserved seats.
It is also important that on January 6, just two days before the general elections on January 8, Allama Raja Nasir, the leader of Majlis Wahdat al-Muslimeen, met PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail.
