A huge space rock is coming towards Earth. In the event of its collision with the Earth, the Earth may experience extraordinary loss of life and property.

A decade has passed since the Chelyabinsk meteorite was destroyed in Russia. The explosion of Chelyabinsk had injured one and a half thousand people and caused significant financial loss.

Now the Earth is preparing itself well to face another big meteor coming from space.

On April 13, 2029, Apophis will pass very close to Earth. This is a good opportunity to see a large meteor very closely and examine it thoroughly. The European Space Agency is developing a mission to counter this challenge.

Bruce Willis’ famous movie ‘Armageddon’ shows a huge space rock coming towards Earth. A mission is sent to destroy the rock, larger than a football field, before it reaches the ground. Members of this mission destroy the rock in space far from Earth. Something similar is being thought in the case of Epophis.

In this regard, technical complications are being overcome for the formation of The International Asteroid Warning Network and The Space Mission Planning Advisory Group.

Fragments of broken stars wander through space. Such space rocks are identified far away from Earth, in deep space, and missions are organized to assess the possibility of their collision with Earth, so as to save Earth from catastrophic damage.
