A case has been registered for keeping the Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) of Mansehra Constituency NA 15 in habeas corpus.

NA-15 Constituency was contested between former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and Tehreek-e-Insaaf-backed candidate Prince Gustasp Khan.

An FIR has been registered against unknown persons in the city police station for keeping the Assistant Returning Officer in custody and interfering with the government in National Assembly Constituency NA-15.

DC Mansehra took a stand in the case filed in police station city under section 353, 186, 342 on the complaint of Deputy Commissioner Mansehra Captain (Rtd) Bilal Shahid Rao that the assistant returning officer Ishtiaq was tortured by unknown persons in Karsarkar. intervened and was kept in custody for no reason.

In the preliminary results released by the Election Commission, it was stated that Prince Gustasp Khan won by getting 150,000 votes, while Mian Nawaz Sharif came second with 80,000 votes.

Nawaz Sharif had challenged the success of the opposite candidate, on which the Election Commission had ordered to stop the results of this constituency.

According to Captain (Rtd) Safdar Awan, Form 45 was not found at the 125 polling station of Torghar, after the writ was filed in the Election Commission, the results of this constituency are still withheld.
