The Islamabad High Court sentenced Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon to 6 months imprisonment in the contempt of court case.
Justice Babar Sattar of Islamabad High Court pronounced a reserved decision against the DC and SSP operations for violating the court order in the case of illegal arrests of former federal minister Shehryar Afridi and Shandana Gulzar in the contempt of court case.
The decision was reserved on October 21
Irfan Nawaz Memon was facing contempt of court in the case of illegal arrests of PTI’s former Federal Minister Shehryar Afridi and Shandana Gulzar.

DC and IG Islamabad, SSP Operations and SP Sadar appeared in the court.
According to the verdict, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon and SSP Operations Malik Jameel Zafar have been found guilty of contempt of court.
The court has sentenced Deputy Commissioner Islamabad to 6 months imprisonment and a fine, while SSP Operations has been sentenced to 4 months imprisonment and a fine of one lakh.
The SHO was also sentenced to 2 months in jail and a fine of Rs 100,000, while the SP President was acquitted in the contempt of court case.
Islamabad High Court has directed to send a copy of the court order to the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
