Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz set a deadline of 6 months for the construction and repair of major communication roads of Punjab while she approved the formation of School Education Council.
A meeting regarding the construction of roads was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab, in the meeting, Maryam Nawaz was briefed on the project of construction of roads.
It was stated in the briefing that 811 roads will be constructed, repaired and restored throughout Punjab, for the first time in Punjab, 16 thousand 558 kilometers of roads will be constructed and repaired simultaneously.
The Chief Minister of Punjab set a deadline of 6 months for the construction and repair of major communication roads of Punjab and said that the quality should be kept in mind in the construction, repair and rehabilitation of roads.
Maryam Nawaz also directed to start the project of construction of 5 expressways in public-private partnership.
He said that quality must be kept in mind in road construction, repair and rehabilitation projects.
Approval of reconstitution of School Education Council
On the other hand, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz says that she will take all possible measures to restore better and quality education in government schools of Punjab while she approved the formation of School Education Council.
A meeting regarding school education was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz was given a detailed briefing for reforms in school education.
Maryam Nawaz approved the restructuring of the School Education Council and the restructuring of the Punjab Curriculum Wing.
Chief Minister Punjab directed to restore morning assembly in government school and start milk supply project for students with private participation.
He called for a comprehensive plan to switch the schools of Punjab to solar energy.
Maryam Nawaz also ordered to give canned milk to meet the nutritional needs of the students.
In the meeting, proposals for starting afternoon classes and evening coaching centers in government schools, including school transport program, electric bike, bag free school and other issues were reviewed.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz also expressed her anger over the delay in providing textbooks to the students.
