The Peshawar High Court has indicated contempt of court proceedings against Ali Zaman, the candidate supported by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Constituency PK-73.

The Peshawar High Court has issued an order for the hearing of PK-73 candidate Ali Zaman’s petition against the results.
It was written in the order that 73 of the ROP appeared on the order of the court but Ali Zaman and his associates surrounded the RO and tried to get his signature on the plain paper in the court room and abused the RO. Harassment, therefore this behavior of Ali Zaman is a violation of the code of conduct against which the RO has also brought a written complaint to the notice of the court.
In its order, the court further said that a notice is issued to the petitioner to clarify his position, as to why contempt of court proceedings should not be initiated against him.
The court adjourned the hearing till February 15, seeking answers from the parties.
