The man who killed 8 people in the suburbs of the American city of Chicago also shot himself.
The suspect who shot and killed eight people at three locations in the Chicago suburbs shot and killed himself after a standoff with police in Texas, police said.
Romeo Nance, 23, is suspected of killing eight people in Joliet, Illinois, whose bodies were found in three separate locations on Sunday and Monday.

Late night raids were conducted in search of Nance, the registered owner of the suspected vehicle, at his last known address in the nearby city of Joliet, about 35 miles (56 km) southwest of Chicago, to investigate the shooting.
Police officers saw blood outside another home across the street from Nance’s home Monday morning where two people had been shot to death inside. The police then entered Nance’s residence where five more bodies were recovered.
In this way, the total number of dead in three different incidents of murder has increased to 8.
The police, while expressing ignorance of the motive for the murder, said that the killer knew the victims. The suspect has been identified as 23-year-old Romeo Nance.
Joliet Police Chief William Evans said an FBI task force is assisting local police in the search for the suspect.
Will County Chief Deputy Dan Jungles said during a news conference that he still had no indication of when the people inside the homes were killed. He said that the post-mortem is still pending.
Joliet police said in a Facebook post Monday afternoon that they were investigating “multiple” people who were found dead and shared a photo of the man and a photo of a vehicle. Authorities have identified the vehicle as a red Toyota Camry.
Earlier on Monday, the Will County Sheriff’s Office shared photos of the same vehicle via Facebook, saying it was seen in connection with two separate shootings Sunday afternoon.
