The cold wave continues in Karachi, the city of lights, at this time, cold weather and cold winds prevail in the city.
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius early in the morning, while the mercury dropped to 6 degrees in Hyderabad city of Sindh.
The plain areas of Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Upper Sindh will remain under heavy fog. Severe cold is expected in the fog-affected areas as the daytime temperatures remain low.
The weather will remain cold and dry in most of the districts of Sindh province. Fog is likely in Jacobabad, Hyderabad, Mohenjodaro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur and Kashmore. Due to which the daytime temperatures will remain below normal in most of the districts of the province.
According to the Meteorological Department, in the last 24 hours, the weather was cold and dry in most parts of the country, while it was very cold in the northern regions and North Baluchistan.
Health experts have advised citizens, especially those suffering from asthma and respiratory diseases, to take precautions in cold weather, wear warm clothes and eat warm foods.
