The World Health Organization has warned that the respiratory disease ‘Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus’ (MERS) has started to take root again in Saudi Arabia.
Al-Arabiya said in a report that the Saudi Ministry of Health reported the outbreak of MERS to the World Health Organization the same week. During 6 months, 4 cases have been reported in the kingdom resulting in 2 deaths.
Cases of ‘Meris’ have been reported in Riyadh and Qasim areas.
Real-time polymerase chain reaction techniques have been used to confirm cases in the lab.
2 males and 2 females got this disease. Their ages ranged from 59 to 93 years. Symptoms of fever, cough and difficulty in breathing appeared during the five weeks.
