PSL 9 started with a match between defending champions Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Islamabad’s captain Shadab Khan and middle order batsman Salman Agha remained unbeaten and made a great partnership to bring the team to victory.

Alex Hales of Islamabad United stood out by scoring 36 runs.

Sahibzada Farhan played a charming innings of 57 runs and Dawson not out for 71 runs.
Abdullah Shafiq scored 28 runs, David Wiese scored 14 runs and Fakhar Zaman scored 13 runs.
For Islamabad, Tile Mills took two wickets, Naseem Shah and Shadab Khan took one wicket each.
