The Lahore High Court reserved its decision after hearing the arguments while hearing the petition filed against the victory of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf candidate Salman Akram Raja and the leader of the Stability Pakistan Party, Aoon Chaudhry.
A hearing was held in the Lahore High Court on the petition filed against the success of PTI leader Salman Akram Raja and IPP leader Aoon Chaudhry.
Aun Chaudhry’s lawyer said that every election appeal has to be decided in the Election Tribunal, the petitioner has filed the petition prematurely, they are trying to spoil the election process.
Salman Akram Raja’s lawyer Sameer Khosa said that the court called the returning officer, the Election Commission replied that it is not possible to reach the returning officer, the office of the returning officer is closed, the returning officer has been missing since February 9.
Lawyer Salman Akram Raja asked that where is the returning officer? To which the election commission lawyer replied that the returning officer is present in the court.
Advocate Sameer Khosa said that this is a very good thing, when he applied to the court, he could not apply to the Election Commission.
The court inquired why you did not appear in the court?, to which the returning officer of NA 128 replied that we were working hard for 3 days, we could not rest even for a moment.
Lahore High Court said that when you were trained, you were not told that you have to come if called by the court? To which the returning officer replied that yes, it was told.
The court directed the returning officer to submit a written reply.

Later talking to the media, PTI leader Salman Akram Raja said that NA 128 RO and police removed me from the office, what happened after I was removed from the RO office is a tragedy. Made documents out.
Salman Akram Raja further said that NA 128 election was won with a lead of 90 thousand, it was rigged, what policemen and RO did is in front of everyone.
