After getting a significant victory from Karachi in the general elections, MQM Pakistan has announced to celebrate Thanksgiving Day tomorrow, on the other hand, Jamaat-e-Islami has rejected the election results and started a protest.

The spokesperson of MQM Pakistan says that Muttahida Qaumi Movement has been given a mandate by the people of Karachi, due to which they have decided to celebrate Thanksgiving Day on Sunday.

In this regard, MQM spokesman added that MQM Pakistan will hold a meeting at Jinnah Ground, Azizabad. The public is requested to participate in the Thanksgiving Day celebration.

On the other hand, Jamaat-e-Islami rejected the election results in Karachi and started a protest outside the Election Commission Sindh office.

Jamaat-e-Islami workers protesting outside the office of the Provincial Election Commission raised slogans against the Election Commission and said that they do not accept the rigged election results.

In his address to the protestors, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman encouraged the workers and declared February 8 as the worst day in the country’s history and announced to continue the struggle.
