The Anti-Terrorism Court of Lahore has started the Jinnah House case trial against 266 accused including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Umar Sarfaraz Cheema and Mian Mahmood-ul-Rashid.
There has been a major development in the Jinnah House attack and siege case, the court has started the trial of the Jinnah House case against 266 accused.
Judge Muhammad Naveed Iqbal of the Special Anti-Terrorism Court heard the case. 130 accused, including Umar Sarfaraz Cheema, Mian Mahmood-ul-Rashid, Alia Hamza and Sanam Javed, were produced in the court from the jail.
Mian Mehmood-ul-Rashid and other detained suspects have completed their attendance for the trial.
The court adjourned further hearing till February 2 and said that copies of the challan will be distributed to the accused at the next hearing.
The prosecution has submitted the challan of the Jinnah House attack case in the court, the challan includes 266 accused including Sanam Javed, Alia Hamza, Tayyaba Ambrin Raja, Ayesha Ali Bhatta. The accused are accused of Jinnah House attack and arson.
The case includes provisions of sedition and incitement to riot, along with the challan, footage of the arson attack and evidence have been attached.
It should be noted that a case of attack on Jinnah House has been registered against the accused in Sarwar Road police station.
May 9 case: The hearing of the case against Yasmin Rashid and others has been postponed
On the other hand, the hearing of the case against Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Dr Yasmin Rashid and others named in the case of container burning at Kalma Chowk on May 9 has been adjourned till February 3.

Judge Arshad Javed of Lahore’s Special Anti-Terrorism Court heard the case.
Former governor Umar Sarfaraz Cheema, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Mian Mehmood-ul-Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry and others were produced in the court from jail.
