The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued a clarification on missing polling station information from messages received through the 8300 helpline.

NADRA has provided facility to the citizens to get details related to the elections by sending their National Identity Card number to 8300.
The SMS received under this facility includes information about where and in which constituency your vote is registered.
However, several users complained that the message they received was missing an important detail, which was the name of the polling station where they were supposed to vote.
When du News contacted NADRA regarding the matter, a spokesperson admitted that the claims were true and the messages were indeed missing information.
NADRA attributed the shortfall to a ‘system upgrade’ that took place recently.
However, the authority also clarified that the names of the polling stations will start appearing in the messages from January 29.
This detail is very important because voting lists are created for each polling station and voters have only one specific place where they can cast their ballot.
