PML-N’s Azhar Qayyum Nahra was successful in the recount, after which the Election Commission withdrew the February 16 notification of the success of the independent candidate.
It should be noted that PML-N candidate Azhar Qayyum Nahra had challenged the success of the independent candidate from NA-81 and requested a recount at 75 polling stations.
The Election Commission had ordered a recount at 75 polling stations. After the recount, the successful independent candidate Bilal Ijaz lost and the Election Commission issued a notification of his success.
