Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz approved the restructuring of the School Education Council and the restructuring of the Punjab Curriculum Wing.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz also ordered to restore morning assembly in government schools and provide canned milk to meet the nutritional needs of students.
A meeting regarding reforms in school education was held in Lahore under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz expressed concern over the issues of the Punjab Textbook and Curriculum Board and expressed her anger over the delay in providing textbooks to the students.
He called for a comprehensive plan to gradually shift schools across the province to solar energy and said that he would take all possible steps to restore the quality of education in government schools.
Maryam Nawaz also directed to start the project of providing milk for students with private participation.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz also decided to form a working group to make the health card more effective and asked for a workable plan in 3 months for the relaunch of the health card.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that health card is a project of PML-N, they will relaunch it with sustainable mechanisms, they will not deprive any poor person of the right to free treatment.
In another meeting, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz set a deadline of 6 months for the construction and repair of major communication roads. He also directed to maintain quality in road construction, repair and maintenance projects.
