President Asif Ali Zardari has decided not to take his salary.

According to the spokesperson of the President’s House, President Asif Ali Zardari decided not to take salary in view of the economic challenges.
The statement added that the purpose of Asif Zardari’s decision is to encourage prudent financial management in the country.
It should be noted that Asif Ali Zardari is the only civilian who has been elected president for the second time. 2 days ago Asif Ali Zardari, the 14th president of Pakistan, took the oath of office.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, administered the oath of office to Asif Ali Zardari in the swearing-in ceremony held at the President’s House.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, Bilawal Bhutto, Bakhtawar Bhutto and Asifa Bhutto Zardari attended the ceremony.
Asif Ali Zardari had secured 411 electoral votes while his opponent Mahmood Khan Achakzai nominated by Sunni Etihad Council got 180 electoral votes.
