Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced a special package for the public in the month of Ramadan.
The Prime Minister increased the size of the Ramadan relief package from 7.5 billion to 12.5 billion rupees.
Shahbaz Sharif issued instructions to increase the size of the Ramadan relief package and widen the scope, in this regard utility stores and Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) along with mobile units will also provide cheap food items. .
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif directed that the Ramadan relief package should be delivered to as many poor, indigent and deserving people as possible.
Initially, 1200 mobile points and 300 permanent package relief centers are being established, while from 1st Ramadan to the end of Ramadan, items will be provided at a lower price than the normal market under the relief package.
Apart from the designated locations, the trucks will deliver cheap food items to the poor people in different areas.
A digital technology enabled dashboard is being developed to monitor mobile flour sales.
In this regard, it has been further informed that the supply of flour will continue during the transfer of mobile units from one place to another and the distribution of flour will be continuously monitored through mobile and live footage.
Through the relief package, 3 crore 96 lakh families will be given food items at cheap prices in Ramadan, under the Ramadan relief package, the deserving people will be given 30% cheaper items from the market, 77 rupees per kg on flour and 70 rupees on ghee. Subsidy per kg will be Rs.
