While the election 2024 was getting everyone’s attention, re-polling is going on at 6 polling stations of National Assembly Constituency NA 43 Tank Cum Dera Ismail Khan on Monday, February 19.
Polling for today’s elections will continue from 8 am to 5 pm.
A bitter contest is expected between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-backed independent candidate Dawar Khan Kundi and Mufti Asad Mehmood of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam F from this constituency.
It should be noted that Maulana Asad Mahmood is the son of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam.
It should be noted that JUIF candidate Maulana Asad Mehmood had requested for re-polling at these polling stations of NA-43.
While the Election Commission issued a notification to stop polling at 6 polling stations in DI Khan on February 8 due to the poor security situation.
