President of the country Dr. Arif Alvi has said that it is imperative to ensure respect for public mandate and political involvement, it is a pity that capable people are being expelled from politics.
Addressing the third edition of Hosting Business Net 2024 in the federal capital Islamabad, President Arif Alvi emphasized the need to respect the public mandate.
He said that the expression of confidence of the young voters in the democratic system is commendable, if the confidence of the youth in the system is shaken, it will not be in the interest of the country.
He said that it is imperative to respect the public mandate and ensure political involvement, financial inclusion is not possible without political involvement of the people.
The President said that the reason for the closure of social media websites is the lack of intellectual capacity to face criticism.
He said that technology could have been used to give the right to vote to overseas Pakistanis through internet voting, the electoral process could have been improved through electronic voting machines, unfortunately, due to personal interests, i-voting and voting The machine cannot be introduced.
He said that leaving the people out of the development process can have negative effects on the country, good leadership and timely decision making is needed for the development and prosperity of Pakistan.
Dr. Arif Alvi said that the people of Pakistan are a dynamic nation which has been blessed with numerous natural resources, investment must be made in the intellectual development and capacity building of the people.
He said that Pakistan cannot develop without including the 26 million out-of-school children in the education system, which will require thousands of new schools and additional resources to educate a large portion of the population.
He said that if the issue is not addressed, Pakistan will export raw manpower without value addition. China has lifted millions of its people out of poverty by investing in education and health.
