Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has issued instructions to the ministers to control the prices by making surprise visits to the markets.
According to the spokesperson, in the introductory meeting of the cabinet presided over by the Sindh Chief Minister, the Ramadan package of 22 billion rupees was approved.
In the meeting, Commissioner Karachi said that 1150 cases have been registered against profiteers in Karachi and a fine of 71 lakh 40 thousand rupees has been imposed on them.
Chief Minister Sindh directed that street crimes should be controlled in all cases, the SHO and SSP of the police station in which the crime is taking place will be responsible.
In the meeting, the Sindh Cabinet set the target of purchasing 9 lakh tonnes of wheat, while it was also approved to set the purchase price of wheat at 4000 rupees per maund.
