The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) received the decision of the Lahore High Court on the petition of Salman Ikram Raja, a candidate supported by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
According to sources, the Election Commission received the decision of the Lahore High Court on the request of Salman Ikram Raja. The Election Commission reviewed the decision of the Lahore High Court in detail.
Sources say that the Election Commission directed to stop the notification of the concerned constituency on the order of the Lahore High Court.
Sources said that the Election Commission has said that until the final decision of the court comes, the notification should not be issued.
It should be remembered that yesterday Salman Akram Raja had challenged the results of NA 128 of Lahore Constituency in the Lahore High Court.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi had issued a summons notice to the parties on February 12 while giving a verdict on Salman Akram Raja’s request.
