Security forces and law enforcement agencies have arrested 17 terrorists, including key commanders, while exposing a large network of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists in Karachi.

According to security sources, the arrested terrorists were part of the TTP network from 2007 to 2014 and were wanted by law enforcement agencies for serious crimes.
According to the sources, the terrorists were planning terrorist activities in Karachi, who were arrested from Karachi by intelligence agencies.

The said terrorists were organized under the auspices of the TTP leadership from Afghanistan.
The arrested terrorists were involved in attacks on security forces and NGOs in Swat and Malakand, besides target killings and attacks on law enforcement agencies.

The network raised funds through extortion and kidnapping for ransom, the network also harbored suicide bombers in madrassas, which were to be used in various terrorist activities.
Security officials say that best measures are being taken to avoid extortion in this regard, forces and law enforcement agencies are determined to crush the ambitions of terrorists.
