Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan filed an application in the Islamabad High Court to meet former PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Adiala Jail. He said that there are great expectations from the judiciary, we hope that we will also get justice.
The Home Secretary, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Superintendent Adiala Jail were made parties in the application on behalf of Barrister Gauhar.
The position adopted in the petition was that Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Secretary General Umar Ayub and Secretary Shibli Faraz should be allowed to meet Imran Khan in Adiala Jail, regarding the Senate election, various committees of the National Assembly and party matters. Consultation is to be done.
It was further stated in the petition that the petitioner had requested several times to meet the Superintendent of Adiala Jail but was not allowed, the court should issue an order to meet the Superintendent of Adiala Jail.
Barrister Gauhar’s talk to the media
Talking to the media after filing the petition in the Islamabad High Court, Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said that there were some documents of General Elections which were taken to meet the founder PTI Imran Khan.
Barrister Gohar said that the Senate elections are being held, so he has requested to allow consultation with Imran Khan along with the documents. Justice will be served.
He further said that decisions have been made quickly whether it is the Supreme Court, the High Court or the trial court, the unconstitutional and illegal manner in which the trial has been conducted, it is the responsibility of the judiciary to take notice. Justice will be served.
