The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has imposed fines on several candidates for violating the election code of conduct in different regions of the country.

The election commission’s monitoring teams continue to issue fines against candidates who violate the election code of conduct. In this regard, District Monitoring Officer Najibullah Kakar, Ziarat Balochistan imposed a fine of Rs 40 thousand on PML-N Provincial Assembly PB7 candidate Noor Muhammad Damard for violating the election code of conduct.

Apart from this, District Monitoring Officer Mardan has given 25 thousand rupees to Provincial Assembly candidate Zulfikar Khan from PK 58 Mardan, 10 thousand rupees to ANP candidate Gohar Ali Shah from PK 54 Mardan and PML-N candidate Jamshed Khan from PK 61 Mardan. A fine of 10 thousand rupees was imposed.

Monitoring teams have stepped up the process of removing prohibited advertising material from major highways in the four provinces and Islamabad. District Monitoring Officer Swat imposed a fine of 20 thousand rupees on the concerned candidate for violating the code of conduct. Apart from this, the District Monitoring Officers issued notices to the candidates in various cities for violating the code of conduct.

District Monitoring Officers also held meetings with the election candidates in various districts, in which they were clearly informed that immediate action would be taken in case of any violation, as per the clear instructions of the Election Commission of the Code of Conduct. Implementation will be ensured.

The possibility of banning plastic penaflex in election campaign
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is likely to ban plastic Pena Flex in the election campaign.

There is a fear of air pollution due to the use of thousands of tons of plastic during the election campaign and the general elections and the production of millions of penaflakes and banners. On behalf of the non-governmental organization, a request was submitted to the Election Commission to ban the use of plastic in the election campaign.

In the petition, it was decided that lakhs of tons of plastic will be used in election campaigns by political candidates in the general elections, plastic penaflex, banners should be banned as electoral symbols, the Election Commission should make such a policy that plastic in election campaigns should be banned. Use should be banned.

The petition further said that disposable material will be used in food and drink arrangements for the voters in the elections on February 8, the Election Commission should implement the environment-friendly notification issued by it.
